Save The Ta-Ta’s GiveAway!

If you missed our Fabulous Finds post on Friday – Shame on you!

I mean – er…you can go here to read it – just Like Jessica over at Savethetatas.com did.

image

And you know what?  She liked it  - she really liked it…(*in my best Sally Field*)  And since Save The Tata’s is so committed to finding a cure, and one way to do that is to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and research – Jessica is sending me a T-Shirt to give to one of you lucky folks.

Before the men that read this blog check out simply because they are men, let me just say…Yes, men can wear Save the Ta Ta’s shirts too.  Last time I checked, many men were also on board with the whole “Ta Ta’s” cause.  In fact, I think they might be one of the most vocal supporters.

So, here’s how you enter:

1. Leave a comment telling me where you would wear your TaTa’s shirt.  Yes, creativity counts – each comment counts for one entry, but the BEST comment counts for 3 entries.  (Comments will be judged by an independent panel – mainly comprised of myself, my husband and perhaps the UPS guy…only if I need a tie-breaker, of course)

2. Become a fan of Someone WIll Buy This on the FACEBOOK PAGE by clicking "LIKE" AND update your status with information about the giveaway and the link to my blog – http://www.someonewillbuythis.com (you know, the page you are on NOW).  Make sure you tag Someone Will Buy This in your post, so I know you did it – you tag us by typing @someone – Facebook will take care of the rest. (2 entries total, 1 for becoming a “fan” and one for the post.)

3. Add a Someone Will Buy This button to your blog.  Then, leave a comment with your blog address, or email me at tj@yoktom.com with the blog address.  (3 entries.  Show that Linky Love! – button and code can be found on the bottom right of this page)

4. Write a post on your blog about the giveaway and include a link to my blog AND http://www.savethetatas.com. (5 Entries!  Mostly because I love to see my name in print…)

5. Become a fan of Save the TaTa’s on Facebook!   You can do that HERE.  This equals 1 entry as well :)

Contest ends on May 21st 2010.  Winner will be chosen AT RANDOM from the above entries. Different entries carry different weight, so you are in control of the number of entries you get!

****additional message****
While NO PURCHASE is necessary to win this contest – Save The Ta Ta’s is a valid cause to support.  If you feel like you might want to buy your own shirt or other awesome TaTa’s product, you can do so here: http://www.savethetatas.com.  I recommend the lip balm.

Hi!! I would absolutely LOVE to win a Save the Ta-Ta's shirt, and wear it while I am in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. I think this shirt would be the most amazing thing I could be wearing during this. :) I would also wear it during our fundraising events my friend and I are doing to raise our minimum we need. Thank you for this opportunity.

I already own a Save the Ta Tas shirt and I LOVE it! I am a group fitness Instructor and every October at our gym we have a special class focused on breast cancer awareness! I always wear my ta tas shirt to this event and people LOVE it! Also my husband and I are fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and are participating in the Seattle Livestrong challenge! I would wear my ta tas shirt while being recognized at the appreciation banquet for raising over $20,000 for the LAF!

I have at least 7 ta-tas shirts and I wear them everywhere!! Places ta-tas have gone with me: Softball games, singing karaoke, the gym, NYE parties, Detroit Tigers games!, airplane rides, Disneyland, work (only on weekends though - not in dresscode!)

Ta-tas is a great cause and their stuff is so cute! My first ta-tas shirt was 'Bodacious Ta-Tas' from my roommate for my birthday 5 years ago! Now I have a few tank tops, several more tshirts (badass ta-tas, princess ta-tas, laughter heals - save the tatas, imagine a world without cancer - save the tatas), a hoodie, a notebook, a keychain, and car magnets! I love wearing my shirts because I always get comments and it starts a conversation! Go Team Ta-Tas!

I have worn my shirt to a baby shower (I also gave the guest of honor a save the ta-tas onsie) and provided the web address to everyone. I also wore my shirt at a Florida Folk Festival (probably 10,000 people attending) in support of my girlfriend who had a single mastectomy and we joked whether she now has a ta or whether she has a ta-ta (no S). That discussion certainly got a lot of people's attention. I have also worn my shirt the last two times I was on an airline fight. Lots of people saw it in the airport as well as on the plane. I try to wear it to any large gatherings that I attend so lots of people have the opportunity to see it and comment on it. Since I only have one shirt it would be great if I won another one so I could switch them up a bit. I try to wear my shirt at least once a week. Thanks for the opportunity.

Well, I'd wear it everywhere but I know I'd definitely get more people noticing and talking about it if I wear it to my work. I own a car repair business and come in direct contact with a lot of people every day. Believe me, women AND men would definitely notice this shirt!!

Where I actually wore a Save the Ta-Ta's t-shirt: after a fantastic trip to Albuquerque, NM and the Grand Canyon, began my trip back home from the Phoenix airport wearing a Save the Ta-Ta's t-shirt. When the airport personnel told me take off my sweater so I could enter into the terminal, I had momentarily forgotten that I was wearing the Ta-Ta's t-shirt. As I turned to face the crowd behind me to take the sweater off over my head, I suddenly remember I had on...Caught you looking at my ta-ta's t-shirt (and I heard snickering from some guy!) So when I turned back around for the airport person to allow me in, she wasn't humored by the t-shirt (too bad...I thought it was it was real funny!)

Where wouldn't I wear a TA-TA'S shirt? I have been wanting one for several years but am on a fixed income disabled with a disabled husband, so I cannot afford one. Might seem like crap to some people, but 20-25 bucks is alot to someone on disibility so...Back to the question at hand; where would you wear a TA-TA'S shirt...I would wear it every where! If just one person was to become interested in the education and awareness of breast cancer because they saw me wearing a TA-TA'S t shirt just any old place on any old day, then I have done my part by wearing the shirt!

Hi. I lost a Tata. I cried for a week. I knew life would never be the same. I realized that my future children would never know that Tata so if I had a save the Tatas shirt Id wear it everywhere, especially to family reuinions. My family misses Tata too. RIP Grandfather Rodolfo, aka Tata. Every Hispanic person can relate. We all have two tatas.

I did it ALL! Bolg post, button, and I am a fan of both of you on facebook. AND I would love the big ta-ta's shirt - it would make me feel better since mine seem to have shrunk from breast feeding, lol! I would wear it EVERYWHERE!!!

My older boy’s first sentence was “Mama nurse now, please”
So I send my strong, grown boys to school in “Save the Ta Tas” Tees.
I dare any school administrator to send them home to change,
‘Cause you know they’d get an earful of some Ta Ta advocate rage!

I’d put TaTa tees on babies; I’d put buttons on bags and bonnets,
I’d wear pink bandana’s over purple locks and write more silly sonnets,
I’m a Special Education Teacher and teach with all my heart,
So I’d wear my Ta Ta Tee to teach real life skills with humor and great art.

I would wear my tatas shirt to my church which is full or older conservative ladies, and let them know that they need to feel their tatas so they can save them. It would always be better to feel your tatas then lose them. :)

I will wear my save the TaTa’s shirt when I go work out in the gym! keeping in shape helps to lower our cancer risk !! (in case being in shape isn't reason enough to work out :)

I would wear my ta tas shirt anywhere I wanted too. I would put save the ta tas accessories anywhere I could from the back of my car, on my purse , on babies, and why not on a child to go to school. We do live in America and should be able to express ourselves any way we can.

Courtney M. Robey said...

I'd wear it pretty much anywhere...except work - because I can't wear t-shirts to work!

I wear my Ta-Ta's t-shrt to my kids school events, I don't care if it bothers people..cancer bothers people. I have even worn it to work during breast cancer awareness day. My t-shirt has been worn and washed so much it is fading(like I wish breast cancer would)...and some unscupulous person stole my magnet off the back of my car...at the court house no less when I was on jury duty..grrrrr!

I would wear the shirt any and every where. I lost my aunt 13 years ago to breast cancer but my mom is a 6 year survivor. We also found out that my sister and I both carry the BRCA1 gene so now we have to watch it a lot closer. I would be proud to wear this shirt!

Where will I wear my TaTa's shirt?
I will wear it in the rain, I will wear it on a plane. I will wear it in the car, and I will wear it near and far. I will wear it here and there. I will wear it EVERYwhere!
My favorite spots to wear my TaTa shirt are The Womens Expo, The Home & Patio Show, various Womens Conferences, and at the Annual Walk.
I'm a "fan" of TaTa's via facebook. :)

My 30th birthday present was being diagnosed with breast cancer. That was 6 1/2 years ago. When I finally joined Facebook a few months ago one of the first groups I looked up was Save the Ta-Ta's, I became a fan back then.

I wear my Save the Ta-Ta's hat everywhere - my kids' schools, shopping, sporting events, and more. I really like wearing it in my in-laws retirement community. It gets a few looks but nothing like when I went swimming bald (during chemo). I would wear a t-shirt everywhere too.

First of all, I already have a Save the Ta tas T-shirt and LOVE it!!! I wear it when I'm feeling Sassy. I ordered it for walking in the ACS Relay for life. My team was TEAM TA TAS one year. I'm an 8 yr breast cancer survivor, so I do where it proudly! I think it would be great to have a shirt that says "One Ta Ta and proud of it!"...they're just all around FUN apparel!!!!

I would wear my "Save the Ta Ta's" shirt to my next reconstruction apt. I am 30 years old and found out that I carry the BRCA2 gene. I also have an aunt that died of breast cancer and my mom is a 2 time survivor who has had a double mass. After tons of consideration we figured out the best way to fight it is to remove the target of the cancer. So I had a double mass and am undergoing reconstruction now. I would wear my shirt proud in memory of my (used to be) big ta ta's. :)

I would wear my "save the tatas" shirt at the pool with my kids. Nothing better than a wet t-shirt "contest" at the kiddie pool. Much less one that says "I caught you looking at my tatas!" ;)

Jessica said...

I wear mine to work! :)

I will wear it everywhere. At the Relay for live walk, I am a night owl I get to walk after dark... My mom was my age when she was fighting breast cancer. She lost her battle so my daughter and I fight on where we can!

Kim said...

I did what I could but the brain doesnt work as well at the ta-tas, lol. I did try to tag you, but I dont think it worked! But come check me out on facebook and see for yourself. I would wear the shirt everywhere, to the store, work, even the racetracks (I'm sure to get someone to notice my shirt there) and even to bed, so my husband can remember how much he loves my ta-tas! I have been diagnosed just last month, so showing them off is even more important to me to show awareness ( even though I have always been been favoring/ showing awareness- guess thats why I caught it early!!!). Thanks for your support and your humor :)

I am a nurse and would wear it every where to remind everyone how important it is to do monthly breast exams and get yearly mamograms. I try to spread the word that breast cancer meets no stranger and can affect both young and old.
